Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music program for infants, toddlers,
preschoolers, kindergarteners, and the adults who love them. First offered to the public in 1987, it
pioneered the concept of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum
that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement. Music Together classes are based on the recognition
that all children are musical.

Mixed Ages- birth through 4
This is the essential Music Together® class, one that a child can attend from birth through Kindergarten through all nine song collections. Younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading younger ones; and the adults are happy because the children in the family can go to class together. The whole family is welcome for this important family music experience.
Babies Class - birth to 9 months
(infants from birth to 9 months)
Bonding with your baby and learning how musical growth is taking place at this early age.
Older Kids Aged 3-6
This class is an extension of our younger mixed age Music Together class. They are similar in that they are mixed aged which is ideal as children can be at different stages of musical development regardless of their age. Younger children gain from the modeling of older children, while older children feel pride in being the example. The other similarity is that parents and caregivers continue to participate as they are still the strongest model for their child and will be able to continue this modeling throughout the week at home with the take home materials.
There will also be some differences. There will be more opportunities for child directed activities. Children will be encouraged to lead the class in new words and movements for songs. They will also be able to lead the class in rhythm patterns and other independent singing activities. We will play games and other engaging activities that are specifically designed for older children.
Younger siblings over the age of 9 months will not be able to attend the class as the activities will not always be appropriate for them.
This class is now an optional drop off program! We love to see parent involvement, but realize it can be difficult. Please continue to sing and music with your child at home if you can not join us in class :)
Music Together for Bilingual Families
This is a Music Together class facilitated in Spanish. The teacher will speak Spanish and there will be translations of the parent education material in Spanish. We will use our usual Music Together songbooks and CDs which typically feature one song in Spanish. The other songs are in English. The teacher may add 2 or 3 additonal songs in Spanish to use throughout the session. Free Dance and Playalong music will sometimes feature music from Spanish speaking cultures.

Music Together Big Kids Classes
- Classes are 60 minutes long and meet weekly for ten weeks.
- During class, children learn musical skills and appreciation through a special Music Together curriculum developed just for 5-, 6-, and 7-year-olds. Every family enrolled in class receives a Music Together Big Kids edition songbook with activities specially created for 5–7-year-olds, two copies of the recording, and weekly HomePlay activity pages.
•Younger children are not developmentally ready for the structure of a Big Kids class. To be eligible, your child must have turned 5 by the first day of class. - While this can be a "drop-off" class, you (or another caregiver) should plan to attend the first and last class of the semester. You may attend any and all classes if you wish. However, due to the structure of the Big Kids class, we cannot accommodate younger siblings (except for babies younger than eight months). You and any younger siblings are welcome and encouraged to join the last 10 minutes of every class.
